MECHANICAL ENGINEER I

MON–FRI; 7:00 AM-3:30PM

As a part of Romac's Engineering Daily Operations Group, you'll dive into the world of engineering with guidance and support. You'll play a key role in designing custom fabricated products, including 3D models and 2D prints and engage in various engineering activities like troubleshooting and production support. This opportunity to work closely with engineers, welders, operators, customers, and contractors, builds a strong foundation for future growth and increased responsibilities.


Hours: Mon – Fri 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Responsibilities:

1. Design custom fabricated products using design worksheets and create production drawings via Solidworks.

2. With guidance, resolve production issues by working alongside welders and operators of various machines and processes, often hands-on..

3. Answer technical questions and troubleshoot issues over the phone with customers regarding Romac products.

4. Assist in defining and completing physical product testing.

5. Help implement continuous improvements for items such as design, manufacturing, quality control, and team knowledge.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

2. 1+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

4. Strong communication amongst wide range of stakeholders and proficient computer skills, including MS Office

5. Comfortable using hand tools and power tools


Compensation: $35.05-$52.60 per hour
