Are you skilled with your hands and have a keen eye for detail? If you enjoy working with tools, following simple instructions, and take pride in producing high-quality results, then this role might be perfect for you. As a Rough Grinder you'll be tasked with using rotary or belt sanding tools to rough grind castings, remove burrs, and finish weld seams. You'll also have the opportunity to inspect parts for any imperfections, ensuring the highest standards of quality.  Don't worry if you're new to the industry or lack experience – we provide readily available supervision and training to help you excel in your role. Plus, you'll have access to the necessary personal protective equipment to ensure your safety on the job.

Hours: Mon-Thurs 2:30pm-1:00am

What you’ll do:

1. Grind castings to remove excess material within assigned time and productivity requirements, as established for each product.

2. Inspect castings for defects.

3. Use jigs or fixtures to check castings when appropriate.

4. Appropriately place castings in box or pallet.

What you’ll bring:

1. Must be capable of performing each task within the allowable time set by the company

2. Strong written and oral communication skills

3. Basic computer skills and experience

4. Must be able to work in a team

5. Ability to use tools and equipment

Compensation: $18.50 - $23.89 per hour
